Does a coven have a credo? A motto? A charter? Is there a secret handshake? A silent language? How much love could a coven mother covet if a coven mother could covet love? As much love as she tenders? Would she change shape? If so, how much ground could she cover? I bet she would fly. What about letterhead? Does a coven require stationary? Its own font? I must assume there's a seal. I imagine there's a table somewhere full of wax and it's covered in other things as well. Surely a coven's not afraid of blood. There's probably a coven cauldron. Our coven would have a swimming pool sometimes for swimming, some for skating or bleeding, depending on the needs of the seasons. But swimming is the best. And also burning. And what about a cookbook? Surely the coven must have a cook. Could you imagine the coven gardens? Would there be a coven counselor? A coven should have a couch. How would it be upholstered? Does a coven keep a pet? A scribe? Are there lifeguards at the pool? A high dive? Is there a password? What must one sacrifice to taste its letters?
