I had a dream
In which I was an art thief
And in that dream the Mona Lisa had a mustache*
That obscured her smirk
But her eyes
Still betrayed the painter’s love of honey cakes & soup
da Vinci may have gone mad had there been no spoon
He may have made more books
Had he a bookish muse
My Musie loves to weave
All day all night looming her lines
Of yarn & thread & strings
So I can’t wait for sleep tonight
To see what the second brings
