The LOON

Ettero rey amambami cornadi tu soh
Entero mehadi denatta tu soh
En yi nassi corren
So, Where is it then
My sylvertine friend
She said to a raven
She said to a loon

The loon who knew a Moon
Knew all a Moon must know
      Of a raven
      And of a loon
      And then some

The loon lived on the water
In its edges
In its shadow
In its sleep
Casting light back
at the sky

While the Witchie
Contemplatively awaited
A reply
Wishing on a half-Moon’s reflection
In the water something
Else

Don’t expect it back any time soon
Waved the loon
     A white feather

The Raven went to get
The Owl
And The Owl, said the loon,
Will want to know
Who
   Who
      Who
Who called down The Moon?
