Cape May Detritus

I was shattered when I woke up.
We didn't arrive here. We collided.
It's not an accident. It's a crash.
I learned to crash like the ocean
I mean in waves if you can
Then ripples. Ride it out

Maybe that's why we love to walk the shore
And feel the sand and look for bricks
And broken glass worn to a diamond
